The first reference about the village and fortress dates to 1229. The fort belonged to knights of Zvíkov. During the 30 year war the building was burned out by invaders. In the 17th century the family of Broum from Meretice had the building reconstructed. In 1753 Lady Frantiska Rabenhaupova from Sucha added the first floor. In 1794 the next owner, count Prokop Hartman from Karlstein, added the second floor. After that, there were a numerous owners, until the ancestors of today's owners bought the property in 1930. IN 1949 the estate was confiscated to the hands of state and was used as a children's home. In 1973 was suitably added a building that closed the whole courtyard and created today's terrace.
