Ceriana rises up inland from San Remo and sits prettily in a valley at the foot of the Bignone and Apicella mountains.Two beautiful churches decorate the view as do the lush surroundings of olive groves and fruit trees. Ceriana has a lively center with all necessary shopping, and is a great location given its proximity to the much more modern and active San Remo.People love Ceriana for the quiet, the absolutely old world feeling and the wonderful opportunites to buy "one of a kind" properties. The architecture of the town alone is reason enough, despite its unique location in Liguria. Ceriana has around 1,500 permanent residents.
